September 2023 President’s Message

Greetings PMI-Northern Nevada!

Welcome new members, and congratulations to those of you who have new credentials! This is a lifelong journey, and it is great to see so many of you with new and multiple credentials.

Last month, on the 22nd we were very fortunate to have Nora Laitinen as our Lunch and Learn Speaker. Thanks Nora, great session!

This month our very own Greg Lintz will be presenting on Risk Management, that will be Tuesday the 26th at noon, mark your calendars now. While you have your calendar out- Linda Militano will be presenting for our October Lunch and Learn, her topic is EQ in Project Management. If you don’t know what EQ is, come and join us to find out!

In our quest to provide value to the membership, we have scheduled an in -person networking session on September 27 at 5:30 PM. Details when you register, see you there!

One of our long-time volunteers, Kevin Goss, is really retiring this time. Thank you, Kevin, for your support, sense of humor, and willingness to do what needed to be done! Enjoy your retirement, we’ll miss you.

As usual- I can’t let this opportunity get by without mentioning our need for volunteers to help run the chapter, or our desire to run the chapter the way you want, don’t hesitate to jump in as a volunteer, or suggest anything at all that will increase the value of the PMI-NNV Chapter to you.

Thank you,

David Fein

August 2023 President’s Message

Greetings PMI-Northern Nevada!

Welcome new members, jump in and join the fun!

Last month, I was fortunate to be the facilitator for the lunch and learn session
where the topic was communications- Walk the Talk. We had a great discussion, and
honestly the hour flew by with a very interactive group. The results of our discussion
are available on the website, we had some great takeaways! Come join us this
month on the 22nd at noon for another great session. Details are in this newsletter.

In the meantime, the Board is working to provide engaging and valuable content for
you to consume each 4th Tuesday of the month. Please be bold and send us
suggestions, we will act on them!

In our small world here in Northern Nevada, we have been working on the website,
correcting connectivity issues, and working on the newsletter format. Suggestions
are always welcome, Greg Lintz has been doing a great job keeping up with all of
this as well as taking care of his day job and his family.

As usual- I can’t let this opportunity get by without mentioning our need for
volunteers to help run the chapter, or our desire to run the chapter the way you
want, don’t hesitate to jump in as a volunteer, or suggest anything at all that will
increase the value of the PMI-NNV Chapter to you.

Thank you,

Stay cool, stay safe, and thrive!
