Most people think of leadership as a mythical quality that only the rare few possess. While most do not possess the true gift for it that a legendary few have, they do have the basic sensibilities to develop the skills that they need for their average, day to day needs: leading a team and a handful of stakeholders at work.

At its core, Leadership is a network of relationships built on developed trust and respect. People good at it develop it around them wherever they go, up and down their chain of command as well as forward into their client organizations.This presentation will include three sections:

• an overview of some fundamental concepts of leadership;
• a discussion of an example of my own, with breakdown of the different factors involved; and
• steps for developing it.

Time for questions and discussion will be included also. Steve's goal through the presentation is for everyone present to be able to identify some of the fundamentals that resonate with them and be confident with general steps for improving them.
