May Lunch and Learn - The AI Effect - A Game About AI and Human Connection

Ways of Working

Join us for an upcoming session featuring Courtney Bock, an AI implementation specialist, educator, and speaker who brings a rare combination of early technical AI experience and deep expertise in education.

Courtney began her career in the early days of natural language processing, contributing to pioneering enterprise AI systems such as Alaska Airlines’ “Ask Jenn” and the U.S. Army’s “Sgt. Star.” She now leads district-wide AI implementation in public education, where she develops strategies, policies, and professional development programs that help educators adopt AI in practical, ethical, and effective ways.

With over 16 years in education and current hands-on classroom experience, Courtney bridges the gap between theory and real-world application. Her work focuses on AI literacy, responsible use, and translating complex concepts into actionable practices that drive adoption and value.

Courtney will lead a session for our PMI Northern Nevada chapter members and friends for an exciting event:

Title: The AI Effect - A Game About AI and Human Connection

Session Description: What happens when AI starts showing up in your most personal and professional moments?

In this hands-on session, you’ll play The AI Effect, a card game by The Rithm Project that uses real-world scenarios to spark debate about when AI strengthens human connection and when it quietly pulls us apart.

Come ready to engage, disagree, and leave with a sharper filter for the AI decisions happening in your world right now.
