Many people wonder what it would be like to be a consultant either full-time or as a part time work after they retire. In 2005, after working for large and small corporations including Procter and Gamble, Texas Instruments, Nortel Networks, Weyerhaeuser, and Greatbatch Sierra, Eileen Webb started her first consulting company – Streamline Consulting - Industrial Engineering working with manufacturers, casinos, and governments. In 2012, she started her second consulting company, Accreditation Preparation - ABET accreditation with universities around the world. Eileen was well prepared to do the work with clients since she had expertise gained as an internal consultant and project manager for many years, but she had a lot to learn about the other parts of running a consulting business. Eileen Webb is President of Accreditation Preparation, LLC., which helps programs prepare for ABET accreditation. She has advised 94 programs at 20 universities in Colombia, United States, Mexico and Portugal in the last 6 years. She has been on 15 official ABET visits including 4 outside the United States in Colombia, Mexico, Saudi Arabia. She was an ABET Symposium Invited Speaker with “FACT or FICTION: The Fine Art of Convincing Your Program Evaluator that You Actually Did What You Wrote in Your Self Study.”
Eileen was an invited speaker at World Engineering Education Forum (WEEF,) the annual conference of the International Forum of Engineering Education Societies, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in 2017. She was also an invited speaker at LACCEI (Latin America and Caribbean Engineering Institution) in 2017 participating on a panel and presenting a paper. She will be the keynote speaker at Buenas Prácticas de “Assessment” en Ingenieria in Barranquilla, Colombia in August 2018.
She has over 25 years of experience in industrial engineering, process improvement, training, and project management at companies including Procter & Gamble, Weyerhaeuser, Texas Instruments, and Nortel. She had taught courses in project management and quality at University of Nevada Reno - Extended Studies and Truckee Meadows Community College -Workforce Development and Community Education. She also has her own company, Streamline Consulting Associates, LLC, which has been providing industrial engineering services to manufacturers, government, and casinos since 2005.
Eileen received her chemical engineering degree with highest honors from Georgia Tech.
