
Julia Childs, PMP - Vice President of Marketing
Chapter Responsibilities: The Vice President of Marketing is responsible for promoting the chapter and its services to both members and the community at large. Other responsibilities include: developing and implementing the chapter marketing plan, managing budget areas as assigned by the President, developing policies and procedures for areas of responsibility, and appointing and leading directors as required.
Profile: Julia Childs, PMP, has more than 15 years experience in project and program management, and 10 years in marketing. Currently employed at Bally Technologies, Julia is a Senior Manager in the Innovation Research Lab. Her background is in researching, designing, managing, and marketing new products and product lines for high tech companies in Silicon Valley, CA and gaming companies in Reno, NV. Julia has run marketing for two corporations, managed three PMO organizations, and helped run two non-profit organizations. She was a founding member of board that created PMI-NNV, and is excited to come back and help again.

Chapter Responsibilities: The Director of Communications is responsible for managing PMI-NNV chapter’s communications. The communication includes a variety of communications and publications focused on promoting and increasing awareness of chapter activities and events to both members, non-members and other key stakeholders.
Profile: Joe Fitts is the IT Application Administration Manager at Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) in Sparks, NV. He has 18 years experience of Business Analysis, Management and Project Management in the insurance industry. He is a PMP and is responsible for software development, driving SOX controls, Project Management and performance metrics.
Polina Ivanova – Sponsorship Director
Chapter Responsibilities: The Sponsorship Director is responsible for managing the sponsorship program for PMI-NNV. Activities include going into the community with the Community Outreach Director to educate local companies about our sponsorship program, signing up companies, coordinating committed offerings for the sponsors with PMI-NNV board and volunteers, meeting with the VP of Finance to ensure proper billing and payments are received, and manage all sponsorship expectations and satisfaction levels.
Profile: Polina Ivanova is the Contract/Invoicing Ops PM for Microsoft Online, Inc. She earned her Master’s in Information Systems from University of Nevada at Reno and enjoys outdoors activities.


Profile: Cheryl Olson is the Associate Director, Management and Executive Programs at the University of Nevada, Reno. She is responsible for marketing initiatives and research for highly specialized management and executive-level industry programs. She has 13 years experience in program development and design, marketing, needs assessment activities and facilitation of educational programs, nationally and internationally. She has earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Education from the University of Nevada, Reno and is currently pursuing an MBA with the EuroMBA consortium.

NJ Designs - Marketing Collateral Coordinator
Chapter Responsibilities: The marketing collateral coordinator is responsible for working with the VP of Marketing to create marketing collateral and ensure adherence to PMI Global Operations Center guidelines. Activities include creating the PMI-NNV logo, letter head, business cards, brochures, and flyers. And, to work with vendors, the VP of Marketing and VP of Finance on getting printed materials created for the PMI-NNV chapter, events, and educational programs.

Lorenz Ledesma, PMP – Advertising Director
Chapter Responsibilities: The Advertising Director is responsible for promoting the chapter and our offerings with the local media. As the primary contact to the media, they will establish and maintain all social media contacts. And, manage all external communications including meeting events, press releases, and PMI-NNV’s online social media presence.
Profile: Lorenz Ledesma, PMP, has more than 13 years in management of which 10+ are in the project management field. He has been a project manager in both telecommunications and casino gaming industries. Lorenz is currently employed at Bally Technologies as a Senior Manager in Client Services where he is responsible for both Account and Project management in the Latin America region.
