Our Mission

Project Management Institute Northern Nevada Chapter (PMI-NNV) officially became a PMI Chapter [date] in 2009. Although the Sacramento Valley and the Southern Nevada Chapters offered PMI learning opportunities, our local project managers expressed the need for learning and networking opportunities that eliminated the extensive travel required to participate. Northern Nevada project managers expressed the desire to meet and work more closely with their peers, participate in local training, establish local network opportunities, and use the profits from educational PM training programs to benefit local members and the northern Nevada community.

Project Management remains a relatively new career path for northern Nevada professionals. The need for quality information and education about the value of our profession and the skills PMI can bring to this region continues. It is the mission of PMI-NNV to promote and support the value and advancement of our profession.

The focus of PMI-NNV is this:

• To advance the capability of members to practice their profession of project management for the benefit of other project managers, themselves, and for whom they do project management work; while building professional relationships in a fun and learning environment.

It is our desire to continually bring value to our members, volunteers, northern Nevada community and to PMI.
